UNDP-CAR launched its first annual report today, providing an accessible, thorough overview of the office’s activities in 2007. The aim of the report is to improve UNDP visibility and transparency at the country office level and to engage donors, partners and the interested public in UNDP’s work in CAR. Separate sections treat major projects in each of UNDP’s corporate practice areas:

• Poverty reduction
• Crisis prevention and recovery
• Fighting HIV/AIDS
• Democratic governance
• Energy and environment.

The report also summarizes UNDP’s contribution to bringing increased humanitarian funding to CAR in 2007, as well as offers a financial overview of the entire office. Currently available in English, the annual report can be downloaded from this website or at at www.cf.undp.org.
